Mr Neville Dastur is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with over 25 years of surgical experience. He is a substantive NHS consultant vascular surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and sees private patients across Surrey, Hampshire and the surrounding region.
Mr Dastur qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 1997 and completed higher surgical training in the South Thames region. His training covered the full range of general surgery before specialist training in vascular surgery, endovascular techniques and interventional radiology. He undertook further endovascular training and research at St Thomas’ Hospital, London and the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
His practice includes the assessment and treatment of varicose veins, thread veins, venous leg symptoms, arterial disease, diabetic foot problems, carotid artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysms. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive vascular treatments, including endovenous procedures for varicose veins and endovascular techniques for arterial disease.
Mr Dastur is a member of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and the British Society of Interventional Radiology, reflecting his specialist interests in both open vascular surgery and minimally invasive image-guided treatment.
He takes a clear, patient-centred approach to consultations. He aims to explain conditions and treatment options in plain English, helping patients understand their diagnosis, the role of ultrasound and imaging, and the benefits and limitations of each treatment option. His consultations are designed to be thorough, practical and reassuring, with an emphasis on helping patients make informed decisions about their care.

Mr Dastur is actively involved in surgical education and professional development. He works as an Educational Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor and Appraiser, and has taught on a number of vascular and general surgical courses. He also jointly leads vascular simulator training.
He has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international meetings, and continues to collaborate on vascular research studies. His clinical interests include modern vascular imaging, minimally invasive treatment and improving the way complex vascular information is explained to patients.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Dastur has a longstanding interest in healthcare technology and the use of digital tools to improve patient care. He has been involved in a number of healthcare software and medical technology projects, including work around handheld ultrasound through My Pocket Ultrasound and digital consent and patient information through GetPatientConsent.
This technology background complements his vascular practice, particularly in areas such as ultrasound-led assessment, patient education, informed consent and improving the patient journey from first consultation through to treatment and follow-up.
