Mr Ussamah El-Khani

Mr Ussamah El-Khani is a UK trained Consultant colorectal, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.  He graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry before completing surgical training across several major London centres, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Imperial College hospitals of St Mary’s and Charing Cross. He later undertook a Robotic Surgery Fellowship at UHCW, one of the UK’s highest volume robotic surgery centres.

Ussamah’s clinical practice covers bowel cancer, digestive system disorders, emergency and trauma surgery, benign intestinal disease, abdominal wall and groin hernias, TAMIS, endoscopy, pelvic floor disorders, and anal conditions such as haemorrhoids, fissures and fistula.  Alongside his advanced cancer work, he is a leading haemorrhoid specialist and offers the full range of outpatient and surgical treatment options.

He holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Fellowship of the European Board of Surgeons.  He is a JAG accredited endoscopist and regularly performs colonoscopy. Mr El-Khani’s academic background includes a BSc in Pathology, a Master’s in Surgical Technology, and a PhD in Patient Safety from Imperial College London. His expertise in patient safety has enabled him to introduce safer processes and pathways, improving the experience of patients and their families.

Mr El-Khani serves as Deputy Medical Director for eXroid and has an extensive teaching portfolio, having been awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.  His strengths in education allows him to better inform his patients on their conditions and impart appropriate medical advice and recommendations.
