Mr. Shaw Somers is a highly experienced Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) and Bariatric Surgeon, specialising in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery for weight loss and complex GI conditions. Over the past 16 years, he has developed a leading practice in obesity surgery, performing over 3,000 bariatric procedures with exceptional safety and outcomes.

Mr. Somers trained in Leeds, London, Bristol, and Cambridge, later becoming an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. He has played a key role in developing and pioneering minimally invasive (keyhole) techniques for oesophageal disorders, stomach surgery, and weight loss procedures.
