Dr Riaz Ali is a Consultant Radiologist with expertise in Neuroradiology, Head & Neck Radiology and Ultrasound.
He is passionate about medical education and communication, lecturing at national and international conferences; appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth; and nominated for regional trainer of the year.
Dr Ali’s clinical interests include all aspects of brain, spine, head, neck and thyroid imaging, utilising CT, MRI and ultrasound scans including aspirations and biopsies. He undertakes regular clinical audit of his work, and partakes in multiple high level multidisciplinary team meetings.
Dr Ali graduated with Distinction from Imperial College London, before a period of clinical training in London followed by Radiology training on the Wessex scheme honing specialist interests across London, Southampton and Portsmouth. He has been a Consultant Radiologist at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth since 2023.
