Dr Eleanor Hyde is a dual-qualified Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Medicana Winchester, with vast experience in managing both acute and chronic pain. Known for her patient-centred approach, Dr Hyde delivers expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal pain, pelvic pain, CRPS, fibromyalgia and long-COVID-related pain. Her commitment to personalised care ensures each patient receives the highest quality of attention, combining the latest techniques with a compassionate outlook.

About Dr Eleanor Hyde

Dr Hyde brings a wealth of experience to her role at Medicana Winchester, where she is renowned for her leadership in pain services and her innovative approach to improving patient outcomes. Her NHS practice is based at University Hospital Southampton and across Solent and Southern Health NHS Trusts.

After graduating with a first-class degree from Cambridge University in 2005, she went on to complete her MBBS with Distinction at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Throughout her training, Dr Hyde was recognised with several prestigious awards, including the Bateman Scholarship and the Harvey Mansien Prize.

She completed her residency across London’s most respected hospitals—St Bartholomew’s, The Royal London, King’s College Hospital, St George’s, and Guy’s and St Thomas’—and undertook her specialist pain training at St Thomas’s Hospital. During this time, she served as the Faculty of Pain Medicine’s Advanced Training Representative and launched a national educational programme that continues today.

Since relocating to Hampshire in 2021, Dr Hyde has led and developed various regional pain services, including Spinal Cord Stimulation and MESH removal pathways. Her areas of interest also include the gut-brain axis and regenerative medicine.
