Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our brand-new pharmacy. You will be pivotal in ensuring that all medications are accurately dispensed and meet the highest safety standards. You will work closely with the pharmacy Lead and other clinical health professionals in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medication to ensure compliance with legal, operational, and safety protocols.
• Support the dispensing process, ensuring all medications are verified and accurately prepared for patient delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and orders and report any discrepancies immediately.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy Lead to address patient queries and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Assist in stock management: ordering, receipting, inventory checking.
• Help Pharmacy Lead with SOPs, processes and policies.
• Provide top-up service in clinical areas that stock medication.
• (Desirable) Accredited Checking Technician qualification.

Requirements

• NVQ3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification (or equivalent as per GPhC requirements).

• Registered Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard procedures.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Outstanding communication skills and a patient-centric approach to service delivery.
