Welcome to Medicana International Ltd. This page outlines the terms governing our private healthcare services, self-pay options, and insurance arrangements. For NHS-funded treatments, please visit the “For NHS Patients” section of our website.
Comprehensive information about Medicana International Ltd., including contact details and an enquiry form, is available on our website. Before your treatment, you will receive an Admission Letter confirming your care plan, procedure details, and payment terms.
The Admission Letter includes key details, such as:
A pre-assessment is required before your procedure and may occur in person or via a phone consultation. This includes a review of your medical history and health status.
If your pre-assessment identifies medical reasons preventing your surgery or requires additional tests, we will discuss changes to your package price or surgery date. Any amendments will be documented in a new Admission Letter.
Your final Package Price is confirmed upon admission. Once signed, the price remains fixed.
Your Admission Letter will indicate whether consultant fees are billed separately. Consultants may charge for their services independently, including initial consultations (see Section 4 for details).
Payment in full is required before admission. Delays or failure to process payment may result in refusal of admission. Refund policies are outlined in Clause 2.
VAT increases will not be passed onto the patient after the price confirmation.
Invoices must be settled within 14 days. Payment options are detailed on our website.
If you haven’t yet made a booking, you will receive a quotation letter with next steps, followed by an Admission Letter upon confirmation.
You may cancel your procedure at any time. Any treatments already received will be charged at standard rates. Cancellations within 7 days of your procedure may incur a £250 fee to cover healthcare professionals’ time and administrative costs.
To cancel, contact us at +44 1962 587820 or complete the cancellation form (see Clause 11). Refunds will be issued within 28 days through your original payment method.
Complications directly related to your procedure are covered for six months after discharge, provided:
Your care is provided by your designated consultant, who may involve other specialists. Consultants operate independently, and Medicana is not liable for their actions.
Consultants may bill patients separately unless included in packaged prices. Medicana collects fees for surgical procedures as the consultant’s agent.
If your consultant cancels your procedure for medical reasons, you will be refunded for unused services.
Medicana may terminate the contract if:
Medicana is not liable for losses that are unforeseeable, avoidable by reasonable action, or classified as business losses.
Concerns can be directed to our team via the contact details provided. Detailed complaints procedures are available upon request.
These terms are governed by English law. Claims may be brought in English courts or those of Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland.
