Role Purpose

To provide high‑quality operational and administrative support to the Marketing team, helping coordinate campaigns, maintain digital channels, support events, and gather patient stories in line with consent and confidentiality requirements. The role works closely with the hospital’s external marketing agency, coordinating internal information, assets, and approvals to ensure campaigns, content, and promotional activity are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Marketing Coordination
    • Provide day-to-day coordination support for marketing campaigns, service-line promotions, and hospital initiatives.
    • Maintain marketing calendars and assist with campaign planning and tracking.
    • Coordinate tasks between internal teams and the external marketing agency.
  2. Agency Collaboration
    • Act as a key internal liaison with the external marketing agency.
    • Gather and supply information, images, and approvals required for campaigns and promotional activity.
    • Coordinate internal feedback to ensure timely delivery of agency work.
  3. Patient Stories & Testimonials
    • Support the identification and collection of patient testimonials and case studies.
    • Ensure appropriate consent and confidentiality processes are followed.
    • Coordinate interviews, photography, or filming with the marketing team and agency.
    • Maintain an organised library of approved testimonial content.
  4. Events and Engagement
    • Support the planning and delivery of hospital events such as open evenings, consultant talks, and community engagement events.
    • Assist with event logistics including invitations, guest lists, materials, and on-site coordination.
    • Help collect feedback and support post-event communications.
  5. Digital Channels & Social Media
    • Coordinate website updates and digital content with the marketing team and agency.
    • Schedule and publish approved social media content.
    • Monitor channels and escalate patient queries or complaints appropriately.
  6. Marketing Materials
    • Assist in preparing presentations, flyers, promotional materials, and event collateral.
    • Maintain organised marketing asset libraries including images, videos, and documents.
    • Ensure materials align with brand guidelines.
  7. Marketing Data & Reporting
    • Support tracking of marketing activities including campaigns, events, and digital engagement.
    • Maintain marketing databases and contact lists.
    • Assist in preparing basic reports and updates on marketing activity.

Person Specification – Essential Experience

  • 1–2 years experience in a marketing, communications, or digital marketing role.
  • Experience supporting or delivering marketing campaigns or promotional activities.
  • Experience managing organisational social media channels.
  • Experience coordinating events, marketing projects, or promotional activities.
  • Experience working with external suppliers or marketing agencies.

Essential Skills

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to write clear and professional marketing content.
  • Experience coordinating work between internal teams and external partners.
