Receive specialised treatment at Medicana Winchester Clinic with experienced consultant surgeons. You have the right to choose where you receive your NHS-funded care
Your GP can refer you for treatment at Medicana Winchester Clinic through the NHS e-Referral Service. If your GP determines you need to see a specialist, you have the right to request treatment from a list of private hospitals or clinics, including ours. The e-Referral Service allows you to choose the time, date, and location for your treatment.
This choice is your legal right. If it’s not offered during your referral, discuss your options with your GP or their staff.
If you choose to have your NHS treatment at our hospital in England, all costs will be covered by the NHS. You’ll only pay for additional personal items, just as you would in any NHS hospital.
Currently, the e-Referral Service doesn’t cover NHS patients in Scotland or Wales.
Once your GP confirms you need treatment, ask if you can have your NHS treatment at Medicana Winchester Clinic. Our consultants and nursing staff provide the same high standard of care as the NHS, along with these additional benefits:
Fast access to a consultant: See a specialist promptly, reducing waiting times.
Continuity of care: The same consultant will care for you throughout your treatment journey.
Treatment within the 18-week referral to treatment pathway: Receive timely care within NHS targets.
Comfortable facilities in a private setting: Experience a more relaxed and private environment.
Excellent record of infection prevention and control: Your safety is our priority.
Our patients praise our quality of care, with 98.5% saying they are extremely likely or likely to recommend us to their friends and family.
